System Interrupt Controller Driver Missing Driver

  1. After performing a clean install of an oem xp home disk i find in the device manager that i am missing a driver for the system interrupt controller. Its for a sony viao pcv-rx670. Tried to buy.
  2. I have tried all the media that came with the server and looking on Dell's website (there was nothing obvious, it probably bundled in with chipset drivers or something) but those drivers are still missing. Any idea what system interrupt controller drivers are and where.

I'm setting up a new Server, it's a Dell PowerEdge R710 with Windows Server 2008 64 bit installed. The device manager is saying that it is missing 3 system interrupt controllers. I have tried all the media that came with the server and looking on Dell's website (there was nothing obvious, it probably bundled in with chipset drivers or something) but those drivers are still missing. Any idea what system interrupt controller drivers are and where would I find them for a Dell PowerEdge R710? Thanks

Device Manager Missing Device

after performing a clean install of an oem xp home disk i find in the device manager that i am missing a driver for the system interrupt controller. its for a sony viao pcv-rx670. tried to buy recovery disks but sony no longer carries them and tells me to buy a new op sys. so after i install it i contact them regarding this minor issue and they have the nerve to want $50 to help. none of the drivers on their website resolves the issue. the m/b is an Asus P4B266-LM which was a board manufactured for Sony so no support from Asus. tried downloading the inf chipset driver for a similar board but no change. when i google the issue one of the suggestions was to disable a bios setting i think APIC or something similar but system has a very bare bones Award bios with only very basic settings. anybody got any ideas?
